SCUBA

Scuba Safaris operate their dive shop right at Oualie Beach Resort which makes this place perfect for divers. Just roll out of bed, have breakfast and catch the dive boat leaving from the dock next to the restaurant. We have two instructors, Ellis Chaderton and "Deuce" who are NAUI and PADI instructors respectively. They normally head out to sea at 9.00 am for a two tank dive, getting back around 1.00 pm for lunch. Afternoons are usually reserved for resort courses for the novice and scuba certification courses, unless we have some hard core divers in house that want to spend the afternoons uderwater as well!

A 40 foot Catamarran "Caona" is also based at Oualie for fast sails accross to perfect snorkelling spots in the Lee of St. Kitts. Captain Lennox can usually be found in the evenings at the Oualie Bar. Absolute vodka and cranberry - "shaken, not stirred".
Captain Les Windley, an old sea dog originally from England plays harmonica and blues guitar on Tuesday nights in the Oualie Beach Boys Band. The rest of the time he is usually taking guests out sailing on his charter yacht. Ask him to tell you the yarn about the time he and another foolhardy young fellow lassoed a 13.5 foot hammerhead shark from a 13 foot boston whaler and went waterskiing up the channel behind the thing!
